RCED

ROCKINGHAM — While COVID-19 has put a temporary pause to Richmond County’s popular annual Hoptoberfest event, the county has announced the first ever “Raffle at the Rock,” which will take place online, via Facebook Live and the Richmond County Economic Development website, on Friday, Nov. 6.

Among the 24 prizes for the unique auction are a John Deere Gator, John Deere riding lawnmower, a Polaris 4-wheeler, Phoenix gas grill, multiple outdoor experiences, as well as multiple chances to win either $500 or $1,000 in cash. A full list of prizes can be found on the Economic Development page of the Richmond County website.

There will only be 1,000 tickets sold at a cost of $100 each, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Richmond County Economic Development Corporation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that has the sole responsibility of fostering economic growth in Richmond County. REDC has successfully completed five shell buildings, built and maintains multiple industrial parks, and obtains grant funding for local industries and infrastructure improvements throughout Richmond County.
