Richmond County Hospice to Hold 7th Annual “Salute to Veterans” Bake Sale

ROCKINGHAM – Richmond County Hospice on US 1 North will be the site of the 7th annual “Salute to Veterans” event on Friday, November 3rd.

This special day of recognition is dedicated to the brave military veterans, alive and deceased, who sacrificed so much for our country.

The festivities are free and open to any and all patriotic citizens who wish to show their support for our military personnel.

Outdoor activities will include the 82nd Airborne Band, food, special guest speaker Pete Leyden, poetry renditions, displays of artifacts, K9 demonstrations, and a military presence for flag folding, gun salutes and Taps.

Hospice encourages individuals to support for them during the event. Registration will open on the grounds at 10:30 a.m. with the actual event commencing 30 minutes later. The event will run until 2 p.m.
