HAMLET — A man is facing incest charges from incidents alleged to have happened late last year.
Robert Hoffman, 37, is accused of having intercourse with two individuals.
The acts are alleged to have happened sometime from Nov. 1-6, according to warrants.
Three warrants were issued April 11 and Hoffman was arrested Wednesday.
He is charged with three counts of felony incest.
Hoffman is scheduled to appear in court June 10.
He is currently being held in the Richmond County Jail without bond. If he is released before trial, records show Hoffman has been ordered to avoid direct or indirect contact with the alleged victims.
According to online records with the N.C. Department of Public Safety Division of Adult Correction, Hoffman was convicted of assaulting a child in 2003 and spent more than two months behind bars.
All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
