Rockingham Food Lion employees honored for 30 years

ROCKINGHAM — Two local Food Lion employees were recently recognized for decades of service to the company.

Sheldon Ellerbe, a quality assurance associate, and Kim McPhereson, a receiver, have both been working at the grocery store chain for 30 years, according to a press release issued Thursday.

The annual Years of Service Awards were presented on April 18 to more than 350 associates with 30, 40 or 50 years of employment with the company. Collectively, the workers have been with Food Lion for 12,320 years.

We are incredibly fortunate to have such passionate and dedicated associates who continue to make a positive difference every day.”
