ROCKINGHAM — Two men are facing felony charges for an alleged rape this week and a previous assault and robbery.

The Rockingham Police Department arrested 22-year-old Terek Ross and 19-year-old Justin Baldwin on Wednesday, the day after warrants allege they both raped a woman against her will.

Both are charged with first-degree forcible rape and Baldwin faces an addition charge of a crime against nature.

According to warrants, the pair also beat and robbed another victim on April 16, stealing a black leather wallet with various financial cards, an Apple iPhone, a men’s watch and a set of car keys.

The victim suffered a concussion and fractured jaw, according to warrants.

In that case, both Ross and Baldwin are charged with common law robbery and assault inflicting serious injury.

Both are being held in the Richmond County Jail under a $125,000 combined secured bond: $100,000 on the rape charges; $25,000 on the assault and robbery charges.

They are scheduled to appear in court May 8.

Online court records show Ross is also facing pending felony charges of breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of stolen goods and violating parole.

Those charges, from 2017, were deferred and he wasn’t prosecuted, records show.

Baldwin also has a May 30 court date on misdemeanor charges of being intoxicated and disruptive and consumption of alcohol by a 19- or 20-year-old.

Records with the N.C. Department of Public Safety Division of Adult Correction show neither has any previous convictions.

All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
