Rockingham Police Identify Shooting Victim

ROCKINGHAM – Rockingham Police have identified the man who was shot midday Thursday.

 58-year-old Michael Jeffery Marble from Anson County died Thursday after being shot by Lenetta Peguse according to the Rockingham Police Department.  

Police responded to reports of gunshots and upon arrival found the victim shot. Marble was then rushed to FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.  

Lanetta Peguese, 40, was charged with first-degree murder. Peguese had her initial appearance hearing Friday morning and was rendered no bond.
