Rockingham Police investigating homicide on Cauthen Drive

ROCKINGHAM — A man was killed last week after someone reportedly shot into the vehicle he was in.

According to an incident report from the Rockingham Police Department, 30-year-old Dominique Rashad Little, of Rockingham, was sitting in a 2010 Land Rover Range Rover in a parking lot on Cauthen Drive when he was shot with a handgun.

The shooting happened just before 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 14.

The report lists two other victims: 54-year-old Michael Todd Montgomery of Hamlet and 37-year-old Anita Nesha Pemberton of Trinity.

There is no indication from the report that either of them were injured.

Damage to the vehicle is estimated at $1,000.

According to the report, the suspect is unknown.

The crimes under investigation are first-degree murder, discharging a weapon into an occupied property, discharging a firearm in city limits and injury to real property.

No arrest has been made and the homicide is still under investigation.
