Sandhills Center Offers Family Support and Collaboration Programs

ROCKINGHAM – As part of the ongoing mission of the Richmond Observer to provide expansive coverage of current events and community programs, we offer the following announcements to alert the public of upcoming sessions that may be of some interest.

 Richmond County 

August 9: Foster Parent Support Group is held the second Thursday of the month at Richmond Co. Department of Social Services located at 125 Caroline St. in Rockingham from 5:30-7 pm. August 23: Trends in Marijuana & Opioid Use Workshop will be held at the First United Methodist Church in the Fellowship Hall located at 410 E. Washington St. from 12 noon-1:30 pm. The staff members with Alianza – Center for Prevention Services from Charlotte will be the guest speakers. Lunch and materials will be provided free. Anson County 

August 16: Family Loss & Trauma Support Group is held the third Thursday of the month at Hampton B. Allen Library in the Book Mobile Room located at 120 S. Greene St. in Wadesboro from 1-2:30 pm.
