Sandhills Children’s Center hires new program director

ROCKINGHAM — Sandhills Children’s Center welcomes Jennifer Decker as the new program director for the campus in Rockingham.

Her first day was Aug. 3.

Decker brings with her a solid background in child development, most recently in Siler City at the Chatham County Child Development Center.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Birth through Kindergarten Education from Greensboro College while working with Asheboro City Schools, and also spent two years as the director of KidSCope Early Learning Center in Chapel Hill.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jennifer to our Rockingham team and look forward to her leadership in promoting our mission of inclusive early education” said Melanie Gayle, chief executive officer of Sandhills Children’s Center.

Decker is engaged and enjoys traveling and spending time with family in her free time.
