SHARING BORDERS SHARING JOBS: Lumber River Council of Governments announces multi-state job fair

PEMBROKE — The Lumber River Workforce Development Board in partnership with NCWorks and SCWorks is pleased to announce a multi-state job fair event entitled “Sharing Borders Sharing Jobs.”

This is an in-person event scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., located at Southeastern Agricultural Center, 1027 U.S. Highway 74 E, Lumberton.

This job fair event will host employers from North and South Carolina who will be onsite to recruit, interview, and hire for a variety of careers and/or job opportunities that are available in the eastern N.C./S.C. area. The event is open to the public and there is no fee for attending. Come find your future career!

The Lumber River Council of Governments provides an array of programs and services to the member governments located within its region: Bladen, Hoke, Richmond, Robeson, and Scotland counties. It serves as an administrative and service delivery arm for federal, state, regional, and local programs of its member governments.

This event is supported 100% by WIOA Statewide Activity Employer Services Funds supported by the Employment and Training Administration of the U.S. Department of Labor as part of an award totaling $20,000 with 0% financed from non-governmental sources.
