Silver Alert issued for Laurinburg man

LAURINBURG — A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing Scotland County man.

The N.C. Center for Missing Persons issued the alert at 12:39 p.m. Monday for 47-year-old Hassan Tariq McEachin, who is “believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.”

McEachin is a black man standing 5 feet, 11 inches and weighing around 185 pounds, with balding black hair, according to the alert.

He was reportedly last seen at the intersection of Lees Mill Road and Washington Street in Laurinburg wearing a dark-colored shirt, blue/gray camouflage BDU pants bearing the name “Malory” on a name tag with a belt and gray/black shoes.
