Silver Alert issued for Scotland County man

LAUREL HILL — Deputies in Scotland County are asking for help looking for a man last seen over the weekend.

A Silver Alert was issued Monday night for 85-year-old Robert Alonzo Williams, of Laurel Hill. The Scotland County Sheriff’s Office had issued an alert on social media several hours before the notice sent out by the N.C. Center for Missing Persons.

According to SCSO, Williams, who has “early signs of cognitive impairment,” was last seen around 10 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 26, leaving an address on Peeles Chapel Road in Laurel Hill.


Williams was reportedly driving a white 2004 Ford F-150 with the North Carolina license plate number JBT1458. His direction of travel and possible destination are both unknown.

Williams has short gray hair and green eyes, stands around 6 feet tall and weighs about 180 pounds.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is encouraged to call 911.
