ROCKINGHAM — On Aug. 14, 2021, at noon, many will gather together to march in remembrance of those who have lost their battle or honor those still battling with addiction, as well as to bring awareness to the growing overdose rate in Richmond County.
The march will begin in front of the old Richmond County courthouse at 114 E. Franklin St. and end at the parking lot across from new Richmond County Judicial Center building at 105 W. Franklin St. in Rockingham,
The rally will include guest speakers who will share their experience, strength, and hope. Any attending will have access to multiple community resources and information.
As a new foundation, we employ the community to join us, not only to bring awareness to the growing pandemic as well as support the families of those affected in our community.
Join us in bringing awareness to the language and stigma that currently surrounds those suffering from an opioid use disorder/substance use disorder, shining a light on the fact that those in active addiction are people and not their disease.
