Teen mother, baby reported missing from Hoke County

RAEFORD — Law enforcement in two nearby counties are asking for the public’s help locating a runaway teen mother and her infant child.

According to the Hoke County Sheriff’s Office, 16-year-old Joslynn Locklear was reported missing early the morning of Friday, March 11.

When she left home, she reportedly took her baby, Mercedez Locklear, with her.

A social media post the following day by the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office states that she and the baby may be in Maxton in the Cabinet Shop and Old Baker roads area.

As of Monday afternoon, they still had not been located.
