The Accident Report (July 21): Accidents Becoming a Regular Occurrence

ROCKINGHAM— In the past few days, the county has seen a number of accidents, many of which only involved a single-vehicle.

The Rockingham Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident on Long Drive at the entrance of Perdue Farms on Thursday morning. Richmond First Health EMS and Rockingham Police also responded with the fire department.

Shortly after, Rockingham Fire Department was dispatched to their second wreck within the hour at the intersection of U.S. Highway 220 and U.S. Highway 1. The accident occurred when a passenger car collided with a tractor trailer truck. The car was occupied only by the driver who was transported to the hospital by Richmond First Health EMS.

 

Rockingham Police Department continues to investigate both accidents.
