HAMLET – The fall season is quickly approaching, which is synonymous with the City of Hamlet’s Seaboard Festival. In conjunction with the festival, the 32nd annual Seaboard Festival 5k race is accepting registrations.

Set to be held in downtown Hamlet on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, the Seaboard Festival has been a longtime staple in the Richmond County community. The organization is aiming for 250 runners this year, and there are still spots available. New this year will be expanded age groups, so all ages are welcome in participating. Interested runners can register online at www.seaboardfestival.com.

Released Monday were the medals for this year’s race. This will be the last year that this design will be used, so runners who have ran the last two years, as well as any new runners wanting this specific medal, are encouraged to sign up.
