United Way of Richmond County is pleased to announce the “Bundle Up Richmond” winter accessories drive to collect much needed warm winter essentials for community members in Richmond County.
Starting Nov. 15, 2024, through Jan. 15, 2025, residents and local businesses can contribute new earmuffs, toboggans, gloves, scarves, hats and socks of all sizes to help families and individuals stay warm during the colder months.
“Our community faces cold winter months, but together we can bring warmth and comfort to those in need,” said Michelle Parrish, executive director of United Way of Richmond County. “Whether through individual donations, workplace collections, or monetary contributions, every effort makes a meaningful impact.”
To make it even easier to contribute, workplaces are encouraged to host their own collections. United Way of Richmond County can arrange to pick up donations from businesses, schools, or community organizations which would, provide an excellent way for teams to come together and make a positive impact.
Items collected will be distributed to local nonprofit agencies, including New Horizon’s Life and Family Services, Our Daily Bread, Samaritan Colony, Richmond County Aging Services, and the Homeless Children program. These items will go directly to community members of all ages who need extra warmth this winter.
