The vehicle did have an occupant inside, and the driver had sustained what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The occupant was removed from the vehicle by an individual who was at the boat landing, and First Health Richmond EMS transported the driver to the hospital. The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation of the incident.
