ROCKINGHAM – Rains, though needed in the area, contributed to vehicle accidents on Wednesday.
Around 8:00 p.m., troopers were called to a single vehicle accident on Airport Road near the intersection of Patterson Street.
A Chevrolet SUV ended up in a ditch with the cause being determined to be rain-related.
No one was injured and only troopers with the North Carolina Highway Patrol were dispatched to the accident.

Troopers were waiting on the tow truck to arrive and were finishing the investigation at 8:30 p.m.
