Woman charged with assaulting husband, damaging Hamlet police car

HAMLET— A woman is facing five misdemeanor charges and spent Christmas in jail after police say she found her husband with another woman.

Teresa Rose Hall, 32, of Juanita Avenue, Hamlet, is accused of going into another woman’s home on Lillian’s Lane on Dec. 23 and assaulting her husband, according to the Hamlet Police Department. Investigators are not sure if the two are estranged.

Police say Hall was intoxicated and “very belligerent,” kicking officers during her arrest and  kicking and cracking a window on a police cruiser.

Hall is charged with two counts each of resisting a public officer and assault on a government official, as well as one count each of breaking and/or entering, simple physical assault and injury to personal property.
