Wreck shuts down U.S. 220 north of Ellerbe

ELLERBE — A wreck will have a northern Richmond County route shut down for several hours, according to first responders.

The Ellerbe Rescue Squad posted to its Facebook page Monday afternoon that U.S. 220 was closed and would be for “several hours” due to a “serious wreck” on U.S. 220, near the site of the former David’s Produce.

The N.C. State Highway Patrol is investigating.
