FAYETTEVILLE — As strong severe storms wreaked havoc across the Sandhills region Friday, the Richmond Senior High School football team will have to wait to try and redeem its 38-13 loss to No. 1 4AA powerhouse Wake Forest High School.

The Raiders (1-1) were scheduled to travel to Pine Forest High School (0-2) Friday to play in a non-conference matchup. Shortly before 5 p.m. Friday, the school announced that the game had been canceled because of looming severe weather threats.

Per athletic director Ricky Young, Richmond will make the game up on Monday, Sept. 4, 2017, at 5 p.m. Stay tuned to the Richmond Observer for more game details and full coverage and highlights.
