Ellerbe Middle recognizes top athletes in end-of-year ceremony

ELLERBE — Middle school athletics didn’t follow a normal schedule during the 2020-21 school year, but coaches and administrators at Ellerbe Middle School carried on an annual tradition anyway.

Earlier this week, athletic director Allen Adeimy and the school’s coaches recognized each sport’s top athletes in an end-of-the-year athletic awards ceremony.

Not included were boys’ basketball or wrestling, which Ellerbe didn’t field a team in this year. Some of Ellerbe’s programs, like baseball and football, combined with Cordova Middle School.

Below is a complete listing of EMS’ athletic awards for the 2020-21 school year, done in alphabetical order by sport. All photos courtesy of Allen Adeimy.
