ROCKINGHAM — it didn’t take long on Monday morning for the Twitter accounts of various media outlets and school systems across North Carolina to begin posting schedule changes for this week‘s sporting events due to the impending inclement weather due to Hurricane Ian.

All Sandhills Athletic Conference varsity football games have been pushed up a day and will be played on Thursday. This includes Richmnod’s homecoming game against Hoke County on Friday.

At the time of this writing, it is uncertain when the junior varsity football game will be played.

In response to moving the football game, the junior varsity and varsity volleyball matches originally scheduled for Thursday at Hoke County have been moved to Wednesday. Tuesday‘s home matches versus Pinecrest will be played as scheduled.

We will continue to keep you up to date on any additional schedule changes on the Richmond Observer Facebook page.
