JV Lady Raiders roll past Pine Forest for second win

FAYETTEVILLE — Double figures from Quanna Bostic and Jamia Crowder led the charge for the Richmond Senior High School junior varsity girls’ basketball team on Friday.

On the road at Pine Forest High School, the JV Lady Raiders rolled to a 47-5 win, their second straight victory.

Bostic, who has led the team in scoring in each of the three games this season, finished with a game-high 14 points. Crowder helped Richmond coast with 10 points.

“It feels good to get another win and it’s a great confidence booster,” head coach Tonia Breeden said. “Everyone played great defense and that’s what I preach will win games.

“Every one of the girls scored and we, Coach Covington and I, are proud of them and the way they hustled.”

Richmond scored 17 points in the first quarter, using 6 points each from Bostic and Crowder. Bostic hit two buckets and two free throws and Crowder drained three field goals.
