NCHSAA releases seating, parking information for basketball state championships

CHAPEL HILL — On Monday, the North Carolina High School Athletic Association released more information about the upcoming basketball state championships.

The Richmond Senior High School boys’ basketball team will compete for its first title in program history on Saturday against Myers Park High School.

One of the biggest concerns following the regional championship round has been ticket availability, an issue that saw hundreds of fans purchase tickets to the 4A East boys’ game over the weekend and not be able to get in.

The other side of the coin was also an issue for fans, as many were not able to purchase a ticket at all due to the limited seating.

TICKET INFORMATION

The NCHSAA made two announcements regarding tickets, which are still not on sale at the time of publication.

The first is that “ticket information” for all four state championship games will be made available to the public on Tuesday after the NCHSAA’s state championship press conference.

No other information about when they will go on sale was provided. However, the only way to buy a ticket for the state title game is through GoFan.co.

The Raiders and head coach Donald Pettigrew will play at the Dean E. Smith Center at UNC Chapel Hill, and ticket availability will  be greater than during the east regional championship.

The other announcement was for fans who have an unused regional round ticket. Proof of a non-validated ticket can be emailed to service@gofan.co and request a refund.

SEATING MAP

As the top team to come out of the 4A East, the Raiders will enter the floor from the tunnel under section 121 and sit on the bench in front of sections 107 and 108.

PARKING AT THE DEAN DOME
