ROCKINGHAM — As the interest in the sport of soccer grows, so does the Richmond Senior High School soccer program.

Monday marked the first day of official tryouts for the Raiders and fifth-year head coach Chris Larsen.

A total of 55 players tried out for Richmond. Larsen had 25 varsity players and coach Bennie Howard had 30 hopeful junior varsity players in attendance.

Players worked on a series of drills, including passing, possession and footwork, shooting and headers.
