ROCKINGHAM — Two weeks of almost-constant action kicked off Saturday at Rockingham Dragway for the annual Super Chevy Show.

The event featured a car show with entrants displaying their classic and modern GM machines and, of course, drag racing.

Although it was mostly a Chevy showdown, there were a few Ford and Dodge vehicles thrown in the mix to test their engines on the quarter-mile track.

Dawn Perdue and Larry Aldrich also fired up their jet cars for several competitive passes.
