Drivers of the FASS Big Rig Series come around Turn 3 during the first set of 15 laps at Rockingham Speedway on Sept. 24.

ROCKINGHAM ― Eight racing rigs rounded Rockingham Speedway’s oval course in the FASS Big Rig Series race on Sept. 24.

The race, which was first announced in February, was part of a double-header with the CRS Super Truck Series and a concert headlined by country-rap artist Struggle Jennings.

The two racing series each alternated with two 15-lap sets, with crews taking time to change tires and make adjustments while the other series was running.

This was the second consecutive year the FASS Big Rig Series has run a race at the Rock.

Also for the second consecutive year, driver Justin Ball took the checkered flag.
