SALISBURY — A late-game rally on Tuesday helped the Hamlet American Legion baseball team notch another win.

Playing at Catawba College, Post 49 earned an 8-5 win over Rowan Post 342.

Trailing 4-0 entering the fifth inning, Hamlet used the final three frames to score all of its runs. As a team, Post 49 notched 11 hits.

Tristan Hunt got Post 49 on the board with a sacrifice fly in the fifth, which was followed by a four-run sixth inning to knot the game 5-5.

James Eason had a two-RBI double down the line in right, Markey Purvis recorded the first of his two sacrifice flies and an RBI single to center from Ashton Phifer made it a new ball game.

Bohdi Robertson made his debut with the team on Tuesday, earning the win with three innings of work. He sat Rowan down in order in the sixth and faced just four batters in the seventh.
