PHOTOS: JV Lady Raiders vs. Red Springs

ROCKINGHAM — The Richmond Senior High School junior varsity girls’ basketball team won by 50 points on Friday.

Starting their season at home against Red Springs High School, the JV Lady Raiders earned a 55-5 win.

Sophomore point guard Olivia Brown netted a game-high 26 points. Freshmen Kaniah Little and Audicy Rush chipped in 12 and nine points, respectively.

Richmond led 26-3 at halftime, with Brown scoring 13 points in the first two quarters. 

The JV Lady Raiders outscored Red Springs 20-0 in the third quarter, initiating the running clock with 1:20 left in the period.

Richmond (1-0) will host Fairmont High School on Nov. 28 at 4:30 p.m.
