ROCKINGHAM — A two-point halftime deficit couldn’t be overcome by the Richmond Senior High School junior varsity football team on Thursday.

Wrapping up their non-conference schedule, the JV Raiders lost 26-0 to Myers Park High School.

The JV Mustangs (1-2) led 2-0 at the break following a safety at the end of Richmond’s first drive.

Myers Park added a field goal and a touchdown in the third quarter, before breaking the game open with a pair of rushing scores in the final stanza.

All of Richmond’s 62 yards of total offense came via the running game. Collecting positive yardage were sophomore Lane Cipriani and freshmen Chance Crowder and Elijah Ingram.
