PHOTOS: No. 1 Raiders vs. No. 4 Pinecrest

ROCKINGHAM — A 30-point fourth quarter propelled the Richmond boys basketball team to a win Thursday in the semifinal round of the Sandhills Athletic Conference tournament.

Leading by as many as 20 points in the first quarter, the Raiders’ lead was cut to three points at the end of the third stanza.

Using a game-high 33 points from senior Paul McNeil Jr., the No. 1 Raiders earned an 85-73 win over No. 4 Pinecrest High School.

Also scoring double-digits were seniors Javian Drake (18 points) and Jamarion Wall (15 points), and junior Ahaiver McDonald (10 points).

The Raiders (20-5) advanced to their third straight SAC tournament title game and will host No. 2 Southern Lee High School (22-3) at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Also playing for the SAC tournament championship Friday, the No. 1 Lady Raiders (21-4) will welcome in No. 2 Scotland (21-3) at 6 p.m.
