PHOTOS: No. 2 Raiders vs. No. 3 Green Level

ROCKINGHAM — The Richmond Raider basketball team punched its return ticket to the 4A East regional championship Friday.

Hosting No. 3 Green Level High School in the fourth round, the No. 2 Raiders earned a 75-57 win over the Gators in their final home game of the postseason.

A four-point lead at halftime was helped out by senior shooting guard David McNair, who went on a 7-0 run by himself late in the second quarter.

Richmond ran away with the win in the second half. Senior Paul McNeil Jr. scored 24 points and senior Javian Drake netted all of his 20 points in the second half.

Senior Jamarion Wall added 11 points, with a total of eight players finding the basket for Richmond.

Back in the Final 4, the No. 2 Raiders (25-5) face No. 1 New Hanover High School (31-1) Thursday, March 14, at the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem.

The 4A East regional title game will tip-off at approximately 6 p.m. Tickets went on sale Saturday at 1 p.m.
