PHOTOS: No. 31 Lady Raiders at No. 2 Millbrook, round one

RALEIGH — The Richmond Senior High School girls soccer team returned to postseason play for the first time since 2021 Monday.

On the road to begin the NCHSAA 4A East state playoffs, No. 31 Richmond came up short 6-0 to No. 2 Millbrook Magnet High School.

The Lady Raiders played a tough first half, allowing just one goal. The Lady Wildcats added five tallies in the second half, including three goals in just over three minutes.

Junior goalkeeper Quanna Bostic made 38 saves for Richmond, as Millbrook peppered the net with 51 shots.

Richmond finished the season 9-13-3 and was fourth in the Sandhills Athletic Conference standings.
