ROCKINGHAM — The Lady Raider soccer team used five goal scorers to advance in the Sandhills Athletic Conference tournament Monday.

Playing at home, No. 4 Richmond made quick work against No. 5 Southern Lee High School in the fist round, winning 6-0.

Freshman Colbie Covington scored the only goal of the first half, her fourth tally over the past two matches.

Junior Hanna Smith netted a goal six minutes into the second half, which started a flurry of scoring for the Lady Raiders.

Also finding the back of the net against Southern Lee (10-10) was sophomore Makayla Brown, who had a match-high two goals to go along with an assist.
