ROCKINGHAM — Putting a stop to a Cinderella run Tuesday, the Lady Raider basketball team eliminated Southeast Raleigh High School in the third round of the 4A East playoffs.

Using a game-high 43 points from junior point guard Jamyia Lindsey, No. 2 Richmond took care of business 64-43 over the No. 20 Lady Bulldogs.

Lindsey, who scored her second highest single-game point total of her career, matched the entire offensive output by Southeast Raleigh.

Also scoring in the win were sophomore Jasiah Gilchrist (10 points), freshman Madisen Jackson (5 points), senior MaKailah Jackson (4 points) and seniors C’Niya Hinson and Ryelan Lyerly (1 point each).

The No. 5 Lady Raiders (25-4) will travel to No. 1 Hoggard High School (29-1) for the fourth round Friday. Tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m.
