PHOTOS: No. 5 Lady Raiders vs. No. 21 Leesville Road, Round 2

ROCKINGHAM — The No. 5 Lady Raider basketball team advanced in the 4A East state playoffs Friday.

On its home court, Richmond eliminated No. 21 Leesville Road 69-57.

Scoring for the Lady Raiders were Jamyia Lindsey (27 points), Ryelan Lyerly (14 points), Jasiah Gilchrist (12 points), Rena Drake (8 points) and Madisen Jackson (8 points).

The Lady Raiders led by as many as 30 points in the second quarter and recovered after letting the Lady Pride pull within eight points in the third quarter.

The No. 5 Lady Raiders (24-4) will host No. 20 Southeast Raleigh High School (20-8) Tuesday. The time is to be determined.
