PHOTOS: Post 49 vs. Davidson Post 8

HAMLET — Three hits didn’t yield any runs for the Hamlet American Legion baseball team Thursday.

Trying to sweep Davidson Post 8, Hamlet Post 49 lost 5-0, its first shutout loss of the summer.

Connecting on a single apiece were Isaac Hinshaw, Landon Taylor and Carter Bean.

Mason Konen (three innings), Jason Walker (three innings) and Dylan Tilson (one inning) combined on the mound.

Now 6-3 this season, Post 49 will head to Mocksville Post 174 Monday. Starting at 7 p.m., the game will be played at Mando Field at Rich Park.
