HAMLET — A lot of stories and smiles were shared during Richmond Senior High School’s inaugural Raider Athletic Hall of Fame induction on Monday.
Over a half a century of the school’s athletic history packed the Cole Auditorium to see the first class of a dozen honorees recognized.
Introduced by principal Jim Butler were Darryl Barnes, Walter “Flip” Ellerbe, Dr. Bill Haltiwanger, Melvin Ingram, G.R. Kindley, Kathy Ormsby, Mike Quick, Tali Robich, Franklin Stubbs, Mike Thomas, George Whitfield and Whitney Wright.
Each person was presented with a plaque and a letterman jacket and gave an acceptance speech.
