ROCKINGHAM — The first senior night celebration of the winter sports season was held at Richmond Senior High School Wednesday.
Richmond’s wrestling program honored its eight senior wrestlers ahead of its Sandhills Athletic Conference matches against Hoke County and Scotland high schools.
Representing the Raiders’ senior class were Amier Bostic, James Coicou, Adam Estridge, Jackson Hamilton, K’Mauri Morgan, Joseph Patterson and Jonathan Ramos. Senior Amir Vaughan wasn't able to attend.
Head coach Andre’ Ellerbe introduced each senior and read a short bio. Wrestlers were presented with a wooden plaque that read "Once you've wrestled, everything else in life is easy."
The Richmond Observer will publish the results of Wednesday’s matches, as well as a photo gallery, later this week.
