LAURINBURG — All of the scoring in Tuesday’s final soccer match of the season took place in the second half.
The Richmond Raiders erased a two-goal deficit but ultimately fell 4-2 to Hoke County High School.
Played at Scotland High School, the match was a tiebreaker to determine the fifth and sixth-place standings in the Sandhills Athletic Conference.
The Bucks scored twice in the first three minutes of the second half to go ahead 2-0.
Senior Gonzalo Gonzalez cut the deficit in half in the 54th minute on a penalty kick after a foul in the box.
Following that in the 67th minute, junior Cayden Gillenwater redirected a rebound chance into the net for his first career varsity goal.
Hoke County managed to score two goals in the final 10 minutes to earn the win.

Richmond and head coach Chris Larsen ended the campaign with a 5-15-2 overall record and placed sixth in the SAC standings with a 4-8-1 mark.
