RAEFORD — The Richmond Senior High School wrestling team faced two Sandhills Athletic Conference opponents Wednesday.
Opening with Pinecrest High School, the Raiders lost 65-8. Responding in their second match, the Raiders rallied to defeat Lee County High School 69-5.
Senior K’Mauri Morgan (215-pounds) and sophomore Hayden Smith (144-pounds) both went 2-0 and combined for 19 points.
Forfeits helped Richmond against the Yellow Jackets, accounting for 36 points in the victory.

Richmond (5-6, 1-1 SAC) returns to the mat next Wednesday for a home SAC tri-meet. The event will be held at Richmond County Ninth Grade Academy and start at 5 p.m.
