PHOTOS: Raiders vs. Pinecrest

ROCKINGHAM — A new season of Richmond Senior High School boys tennis started Tuesday.

The Raiders hosted Pinecrest High School in its first Sandhills Athletic Conference match of the spring and lost 9-0.

Members of this year’s team are No. 1 junior Jordan Jacobs, No. 2 junior Matthew Leggett, No. 3 senior Brent Humann, No. 4 junior Gavin Applewhite, No. 5 junior Will Whitley and No. 6 freshman Ben Lutz. 

Junior Noah Gil is also on the team this spring and played an exhibition match against Pinecrest.

The Raiders (0-1, 0-1 SAC) will look to enter the win column with a home conference match against Hoke County Thursday. Singles matches will begin at 4 p.m
