PHOTOS: Raiders vs. Scotland

ROCKINGHAM — The Richmond Senior High School varsity boys’ basketball team capped another perfect run through the Sandhills Athletic Conference Friday.

Celebrating the team’s six senior players and two senior managers, the Raiders defeated Scotland High School 104-66.

The Raiders extended their winning streak to a dozen games, while recording back-to-back seasons with a perfect 12-0 mark against SAC opponents.

For the fifth time this season, senior Paul McNeil Jr. reached the 40-point mark. He recorded a double-double with 10 rebounds.

Fellow senior Javian Drake matched his career-high with 26 points and had eight boards, while senior David McNair had a career-high 13 points.

A total of 10 Raiders found the hoop in the win, with sophomore Jayden Hamilton adding seven points.

No. 1 Richmond (19-5, 12-0 SAC) returns to the court next Thursday in the semifinal round of the SAC championship tournament, having received a first-round bye.

The Raiders will host the winner of No. 4 Pinecrest (12-9, 6-6 SAC) and No. 5 Scotland (9-15, 4-8 SAC) at 6 p.m.
