ROCKINGHAM — Zane Searcy laced a walk-off RBI single to right field with two strikes and two outs during Tuesday’s baseball game.

Erasing a one-run deficit in the seventh inning, an error and Searcy’s base knock completed a 6-5 victory over Western Harnett.

Davis Faw, who drove in a run in the bottom of the sixth, pitched a 1-2-3 top of the seventh inning.

Richmond jumped ahead 3-0 in the first thanks to an RBI single from Caden Nolan and a two-RBI liner by starting pitcher Evan Hodges (4 IP, one run, five hits, three strikeouts).

Faw’s RBI groundout in the sixth made it a one-run game, 5-4, heading into the seventh.

Also pitching for Richmond were Conner Phifer and Sam Thompson.
