PHOTOS: Richmond at Pinecrest Polar Bear meet

SOUTHERN PINES — The Richmond Senior High School indoor track and field teams returned to competition on Saturday.

Hosted by Pinecrest High School, the Pinecrest Polar Bear meet featured a dozen teams from around the region.

The Lady Raiders took fifth overall with 48 points and the Raiders were 11th with 13 points.

Leading Richmond were Keonta Pegues (10 points) and Ka’mora Watkins (19 points).

Pegues finished second in the 55-meter dash and Watkins qualified for states with a second-place mark in the high jump.

The Raiders and Lady Raiders will return to competition on Fri., Dec. 29, at Pinecrest High School.
