ROCKINGHAM — The pins were falling in full force on Wednesday as the Richmond Senior High School bowling teams wrapped up their tryout period.

The Raider and Lady Raider bowling teams, which return for their seventh season, were the final of Richmond’s winter sports teams to get things underway.

Leading the team this year are Chris and Ashleigh Larsen, who replace former coach Ralph Butler, who held the post for the past five seasons.

There were 24 boys and six girls at Wednesday’s tryout at Striker’s Bowling Center.

The Raiders will look to have several returners this season, while all but one returning starter for the Lady Raiders have graduated from last year.
