RAEFORD — Making a splash before holiday break, the Richmond Senior High School boys’ and girls’ swim teams competed for the third time this season on Wednesday.

The Raiders and Lady Raiders hosted the first of their two Sandhills Athletic Conference meets at the James A. Leach Aquatic Center.

Richmond’s swimmers participated in several events, including the open 50 and 100-yard freestyles, the boys’ 200-yard medley relay, the 500-yard freestyle and the boys’ and girls’ 200-yard freestyle relay, among others.

The swim teams are off from competition until Jan. 10. That meet will be held at the Leach Aquatic Center and start at 6:15 p.m.

The Richmond Observer will publish articles on Thursday recapping both of Richmond’s performances once final results are released.
