ROCKINGHAM — The Richmond Raider football team won its third straight game on Friday while giving its 21 senior players a night to remember.

Hosting Lee County High School, the Raiders won the Sandhills Athletic Conference matchup 34-13 on senior night.

Senior running back Jaliel Green scored a pair of rushing touchdowns, marking his third straight two-touchdown game. He added 152 rushing yards on 22 carries.

Helping out his older teammates, sophomore quarterback Domonic Tillman accounted for three total touchdowns. He rushed for two and threw a touchdown to senior wide receiver Javian Drake.

Tillman (16-of-24, 150 yards) also connected with six different receivers for at least one catch. Drake led the team with six grabs for 72 yards.

A 15-yard rushing score by Green opened the scoring halfway through the first quarter. That play was set up by a fumble recovery by sophomore linebacker Terande Spencer.

Early in the second quarter, a four-yard run by Tillman and the point-after attempt by junior Billy West made it 13-0.

Leading 13-7 at halftime, Richmond added three more scores in the final two quarters. First was the 16-yard pass from Tillman to Drake.

Green dashed 51 yards to the end zone for his final rushing score of the game, which was helped by an interception by junior defensive back AJ Covignton a few plays prior.

Tillman rushed in another short-distance touchdown in the final minutes of the game. Covington picked off his second pass of the night to send the offense into victory formation.
